Hyatt has launched a new training programme to help staff managers train for succession management.
The company said it was launching the Hyatt Succession Management Training (HSMT) in response to recent customer feedback.
It was designed to help senior managers who are considering succession planning, to ensure they are able to identify potential challenges and challenges for future leadership, and to develop skills and knowledge to help them respond effectively to them.
It also aims to train senior management on the principles of succession management, including the use of an inclusive succession plan, the role of succession in managing a business, and how to respond to a succession challenge.HSMT is available online and in person at Hyatt’s locations in England, Scotland and Wales.
Hyatt said it would be providing its own training materials for all of its properties in the UK.
“Our goal is to help managers understand the benefits of succession planning and the role succession plays in managing their business,” said David Haggerty, head of Hyatt Management Training.
“We believe this training programme will provide a unique opportunity to help manage and develop their succession plans and strategies, ensuring they are ready to respond effectively in a crisis.”
