Posted October 08, 2018 17:40:10The National Health Care Organisation (NHCO) has announced a major upgrade to its Managers and Nurses training program.
The NHCO has upgraded its existing Managers Training Program to include a new emphasis on managing stress, managing relationships and improving health outcomes.
The upgrade was announced by Health Minister Peter Dutton at a media event in Canberra.
He said the NHCA is pleased with the results and will look to expand the program to other sectors in the future.
“We are really pleased to be able to make that investment and we are looking to expand that program,” Mr Dutton said.
He also announced a $20 million grant for mental health research.
“That is a significant investment to support mental health researchers and to provide additional funding for the National Mental Health Council,” Mr Kavanagh said.
“It’s a significant funding stream to support our ongoing work to improve mental health services for Australians.”
The NHA will continue to deliver training programs and programs to meet the unique challenges of the workforce.
